02 — Research

An ongoing investigation into matter, process, the emergence of images, and the role of perception.

The unexpected as a generative possibility.

Error is not necessarily a failure, but a deviation that may reveal unforeseen possibilities, opening new directions for form and meaning.

02.1 — Error & Possibility

Matter as an active participant.

Matter is not simply a medium, but an active presence. Its properties and transformations interact with artistic intention, contributing to the emergence of form.

02.2 — Matter & Process

02.3 — Structure & Void

The space between forms.

Structure defines boundaries and tensions, while the void becomes an active presence, establishing relationships between forms and opening new possibilities of perception.

02.4 — Image & Perception

The image emerges through perception.

Forms emerge through material processes, while images also take shape through perception. Recognition, expectation, and visual ambiguity open the work to multiple interpretations.

02.5 — The Fragment & the Incomplete

The autonomy of the fragment.

A fragment does not necessarily ask to be completed. Irregular edges and partial forms possess their own identity, establishing relationships without returning to a predefined whole.
